Rather niceMixed with 1kg LLME. 2 days before bottling, I opened and threw in a large spoonful of Hellertau pellets, gently stirred & sealed up again. Tried a stubby 1 week after bottling, and wrote "What a grouse beer - I'll be making more of this". I missed it when it ran out. |

Passable brewBrewed this with a kg of LME and teabagged some goldings hops. Used the included yeast pack. Temperatures were all over the place (between 18 and 25 C). All things considered, this turned out quite tasty, a bit like a Kent Old Brown (from my somewhat hazy recollections). I'll definately do the style again, but will probably try the ESB 3kg with a liquid yeast next time. |
