COOPERS DRAUGHTBeen brewing mosta my life, just got into pressure fermenting and kegging, tend to favour the lighter lager type beers and add extra to them to add taste, body etc, tried coopers draught as a base, added my own home grown hops orange sunrise, and the grated peel and juice of one orange, result was a very drinkable ale, will be even better after aging in my ikegger keg, definitly try again maybe using different additional fruits ?? to give different flavours. |

keggedI made this beer to test an old Boots plastic beer keg I found so I used table sugar and primed the 23 l in the barrel with 120 g of sugar. I'm kicking myself I didn't do it properly as the beer is clear, with a good, stable head but rather thin in flavour. Coopers draught is good base for many variations. It does need to be served cool and the limitation on using the keg is that it can't be put in a fridge. |

Irish Ale recipeMade this Irish Ale recipe from the Coopers website.1 can Coopers Draught, Coopers Brew Enhancer 1, 300 grams Golden Syrup up to 21 Litres, but I also added one 12g tea bag of Fuggles. In hindsight, the Fuggles were a huge mistake as they added extra bitterness that the Golden Syrup is trying to round off. Still a good drop though but it took at least 6 or more months for the hops to mellow out. The Golden Syrup really adds a smooth texture off the pallet. |

Bavarian PilsnerMade this up as per the Bavarian Pilsner recipe on Aussie Home Brewing website: 1 can of Coopers Lager or Draught,500g Sugar, Glucose or Dextrose,300g Light Dry Malt Extract, 20g Saaz Hop Pellets. Used US 1056 ale yeast. Comes out a very bright gold color, good hop flavor and aroma. Will make this again. Highly recommended recipe! |

Second Go With HopsI tin of Coopers Original Draught, BE2, 250 grams LDM, 15g Hersrucker Hops (Standard), Saflager Yeast and 23 lites of water. Extra Malt gave it a great mouth feel, the Hersbrucker gave a spicy taste and aroma which some may not like. However I thought it was a good mix. |

Plain and SimpleGave it a go with Coopers BE2 and stock yeast. Tried it after only 7 days in the bottle. Not bad for a beer to replace a CUB standard. Will make again as a cheap swill, but may throw some hops in to give it better aroma. 4 stars for what it is. |

Coopers Original DraughtMade up with 500g LDME, 300g Dextrose, 200g steeped grain (Brewcellar 'Light'), 10g Fuggles boiled in grain liquor for 20min, and 10g Fuggles dry in fermenter for 7 days prior to bottling. Kit yeast was used at 20-22'C, turned out to be a nicely enjoyable beer at 2 weeks with good hop aroma and flavour. Light-medium body with a head that holds and should improve with age. Some chill haze, otherwise unfaultable. Try this for sure - 4 stars. |

IT'S GOT KICKHey, watch out for this recipe. We started out with 5 cups of dex and then added 4cups dme plain light for that little extra kick. Wow, came in around 8.5% and actual tastes better then the high buck stuff i bought from the store tonight. The smell is poor but, the taste and after favor is is great considering. I would be willing to try again with less sugar and bet it would taste great. |

Coopers Original DraughtMade with 1kg Coopers Brewing sugar, and kit yeast, 6 US gallons. As basic as it gets. Just tapped the first two glasses - for a "quickee" it's not bad - not bad at all! Just the thing to kick back on a Sunday afternoon and watch some football - NFL style! I'd make this again, but I think I'll use some DME and finishng hops. |

Needs moreBrewed with 1kg Brew enhancer 1, kit yeast and tried about 200g of golden syrup to 23 litles. After about 2 months tried and did not find the golden syrup imparted any noticable flavour and the beer seemed a little watery. Head was poor. Could do with some malt and hops. Good plain flavours to work with. |

Not bad1 x Coopers Draught, 1kg BE1, kit yeast. Brewed at 20c for 8 days. Bottled with Coopers Carbonated drops. After 3 weeks in bottle found was well carbonated with reasonable head retention. Could do with some more flavour but that was to be expected with such as simple recipe. A good quaffer while watching the footy. |

Use a lager yeastAnother good startin kit. I make it to try to get a megaswill beer for my mates always using saflager, malt and dex and sometimes flavour hops. A good beer to get pissed on with your CUB mates on a hot summers day. (I do not condone drinking CUB products unless you have to.) |

RefreshingTried this one a while ago now. 1 can Coopers Original Draught, 1kg dextrose, 1/2 small lemon and kit yeast. Fermented at around 28-30 degrees (I live in Katherine NT) and botteled after 7 days. It has quite a refreshing taste, perfect for those hot days. |

Let it ageFermented at 21.5 degrees, 7 days with Brewiser #20. Kegged, excellent head retention, improves remarkably with age. Give it some time and you will find it very drinkable. |

Nice DropPrimary for 7 days, secondary for 5 with finings. Just brewed with a coopers brew enhancer 2, to 23 litres. Primed with Castor Sugar. After two weeks came out with a great head and plenty of bubbles and a lovely flavour will get better with age. |

A good quafferI've made this a few times using a simple mix of 500gms DME, 500gms dextrose and dry hoping with 10 to 15gms of cascade hops. This is better than your average megaswill. A good session beer which will probably become a regular in one of my kegs. |
