Good Staple Beer (Festa)This is a beer that we will brew again and again. It has a nice amount of hop character and goes down well. We made 2 versions. One, we made according to the directions, the second, we boiled 1/3 oz. of galaxy hops for 15 mins. in some of the wort, then added this to the rest of the wort. Both are really good and there is a noticeable difference between the two, making them both a winning choice depending on your mood. |

Festa Pale AleAwesome year round beer and one of my staples in my tavern/garage/theatre/wherever. Hoppy, fruity, rich with excellent nose, lacing and head retention. I modded one and bottled it with 1/2 ozs. of Citra hops and am having a hard time holding it to warmer weather, particularly this winter as it's so fookin' frigid. My next mod will be to jack it with 500G of dry malt extract to knock the hop level down a bit and jump the alcohol a bit. Stand by! |

One of their better kitsI generally like the Brewhouse kits because of the fact that you can modify or add to the existing wort. This is a great kit as it is, however. It is a beautiful colour, holds its head well, and has a fruity and hoppy character that I really appreciate. The yeast in the kit seems to be well suited to this style of beer. Since it is the best kit I have made and I really have no complaints, I have to give it a 5 out of 5. Any complaints would be because some just may not like the style. |

I primary fermented for 3 weeks, and conditioned for 3 weeks. Fermentation temperatures were too high (78F), but it still came out very nicely. Will make again. |
