Excellent BeerTotal 5L water added, OG 1040 FG 1010,
extra 12g cascade boiled for 15 mins,
12g cascade at end steeped for 15 mins.
Used supplied yeast (Safale 56), bottled
day 8. After 6 weeks, the resulting beer
was very good: A fresh tasting beer with
excellent colour, OK head, moderate
bitterness, and light hops flavour and
aroma. Probably add more aroma hops next

AverageUsed 500 dextrose, 250g LME, 250g
maltodextrin, used supplied yeast
fermented at 21C. Beer has a nice golden
colour, with good head retention but
lacked any hop flavour or aroma.
Initially there was a very strong green
apple aroma and flavour, which was gone
after six weeks of maturation. A
reasonable drink but it never seemed
very fresh. |
