Morgans Dockside Stout February 10th 2005

good stout

I've made this twice both times with 1.5kg dark liquid malt, 300g corn syrup, 10ml liqorice extract. I used the supplied yeast & made batches of about 19-20lts & fermented it at about 22deg. I've used 15g of both Fuggles & Goldings hops It's very good, strong dark , malty, bitter stout, with a hint of sweetness. The head quality is also very good. It's not quite the perfect stout ..... the quest continues
Black Rock NZ Draught January 20th 2005

DB Draught

I'm not a huge fan of Black rock beers or even DB Draught but I made a very close copy of DB using this , it was a while ago & I used an ultra brew & some green bullet hops. It was OK if you like that sort of stuff.

Coopers Heritage Lager January 20th 2005

very easy

A fine drop I've made it 10-15 times. It's sweet up front with a nice bitter aftertaste. I tend to use it to try different hops . I've done P.O.R., golden cluster, cascade , Mt Hood, northern brewer, hallertau & Green bullet. The best results are P.O.R. & Hallertau but all have been very good.
Morgans Blue Mountain Lager January 20th 2005

cant go wrong

I make this beer every 5 or 6 weeks, its never failed me. I brew it with an ultra brew & 12.5g of Golden Cluster hops. usually at around 22-23 degs & filled to 20.5 lts. I've tried saaz, goldings hops & P.O.R. hops with success as well.
Coopers Australian Bitter January 16th 2005

great stuff

I've brewed this about 6 times each of them with an ultrabrew. 3 each with about 13g of either Pride of Ringwood or Goldings hop pellets (in a strainer with boiling water poured over them & left for 15 minutes ). It's absolutley fantastic, probably the best kit I've ever made. It's best after 3 or months in the bottle. Good body, head, bitterness & a little sweetness. Always popular with guests as well. You could drink it all day & all night
Beermakers Bitter Ale XXX January 16th 2005

Cant complain

A fairly standard Aussie style beer. I've made this 3 or 4 times & used 12-13g of either Golden Cluster or Pride of Ringwood hops & an ultra brew & filled it to 20-21 lts. Cant complain its very easy to drink & pretty cheap as well. I'll give it 3 stars but 3.5 would be better I might even make another this week
