Cascade Chocolate Mohogany Porter December 13th 2005

Great Honey Porter

Used this kit several times and was impressed. Latest brew was made with 1kg of DME and 500gm of yellowbox honey and 20gm of Cascade hops. Fermented at 20 degrees for 10 days then transferred to secondary for 5 days, bulk primed and bottled. Tried after 2 months and was good. After 3 months great and at 5 months excellent.
Morgans Australian Old July 6th 2005

Great Black

Put down brew with 600g of dark dry malt and 400g of Maltodextrin. Used Williamette finishing hops in tea bag. Fermented using yeast supplied with kit. Waited 8 weeks to try. Excellent brew which is getting better with more time in bottle. Very, very close to Tooheys Old. Will definately put down again, maybe with 1 kg of dark or chocolate liquid malt.

Malt Shovel Nut Brown Ale July 6th 2005

Horrible

Would have to be the worst tasting brew I have ever tried. Was brewed according to instructions with yeast supplied. Lest for 90 days to mature in bottles. Tried myself and thought was disgusting. Had father in law, who has been brewing for 20 years, sample and he disliked as well. Had brewing bussy sample and he disliked as well. Tipped 2 dox longnecks out down sink to make way for better brew.
Tooheys Lager July 6th 2005

Great Lager

Have brewed this 3 times. First brew was with 750g of dextrose, using yeast provided. Matured 90 days in bottles then drank over 2 week period at Xmas 2004. Lovely beer, great taste and easy drinking. 2nd and 3rd brews were put down with 1kg of Light dry malt and Hallertau finishing hops and using Saflager yeast. Much better mouthfeel and good aroma of hops. Would be one of my favorite Lagers.
Tooheys Dark Ale May 9th 2005

Great Black

Put brew down in February using 600g od Dry dark malt and 400g of maltodectrin (sold as stout mix by Country Brewer) using yeast supplied with mix. Bulk primed and let mature in bottles for 8 weeks. Still needed more time as had very course head. Tried again after 12 weeks and what an improvement! Nice fine bead in creamy head, smooth taste and every bit as good as Tooheys Old. Exceptional brew and have put down again with Liquid Chocolate Malt
Cascade Golden Harvest Lager May 2nd 2005

Great Lager

Put this brew down with just 1kg of CSR brewing sugar. Fermented during heat of summer and bottled. Left 3 months to taste. Initially thought the brew was extremely sweet, but after 4 months brew was nice and crisp with good hops coming through. Have since put down with 1kg of light dry malt and cascade finishing hops. Can't wait to try.

Great Drop

I have brewed this twice, once with 750gm white sugar and once with 1kg dextrose. Both times beer came out very pale and crisp on the tongue. Great summer beer! In fact my father in law and I demolished a brew I put in October over Xmas. Am planning on putting down a brew in May with 1kg light malt.

Crisp and Dry

Just tried latest brew which was bottles early Feb. Brewed with 1kg of light dry malt, fremented over 5 days at 22 to 24 degrees. Brew was bulk primed but cannot remember quantity brewed. Beer was extremely heady initially, but then settled to nice creamy head. Taste was nice and crisp with a long finish. Was most impressed and am going to brew again with finishing hops.
