Coopers Bitter | August 9th 2011 | |
Really nice AleWow! What a great tasting ale, resembles Fullers ESB! Brewed with 500g of Muntons medium spray malt and 700g of High malt glucose. Brought up to 20L. Fermented at 21C for 8 days primary, then directly to bottle. Came out really clear even after a few days in the bottles. Amazing flavor, mild bitterness and clean dry finish. One of my best kit brews to date. The only thing I would add would be some aroma hops next time. That would make it a truly wonderful ale! Cheers! |

Pale Ale | July 10th 2011 | |
Amazing Pale Ale!My buddy brewed this one, 1 week primary 2 weeks secondary 1 week bottled. Batch primed with 1 pound of dex. All I can say is Amazing! This Ale is one of the best I have ever had! So tasty. Very easy to drink. Not super hoppy, but still very nice and malty. I still have 2L of it left as a gift so I am happy as a clam! 5 Stars! |

Red Ale | March 2nd 2011 | |
Looking good at 4 weeks!Brewed at 69C and left for 2 weeks in primary. Siphoned into Grolsch 450ml bottles with just shy of tsp of corn sugar for priming. Bottles are quite clear, though perhaps a clearing agent would have helped further. Festa brew red ale is not a canned kit, it is a 23L bag of all grain wort with Safale S-04 yeast. Still tastes young at 3-4 weeks (couldn't wait) but has a beautiful velvety head, excellent lacing and retention. Great deep red color. Amazing malt flavor and sweetness. Not really a hoppy beer. Slightly bitter aftertaste and would be great with a little more alcohol (now at ~5% ABV) This one needs a good 6 weeks minimum before opening IMO and should be awesome in 6 months. Will brew again. |
