dual personalityBrew as per instructions but use light spray malt to prime bottles. Drink at room temperature and this one reminds you of a nice summer pale ale similar to Blonde Witch (Moorhouse) However chill it to death and it will be much more akin to a slightly malty lager and ideal to have around for those BBQ’s and to serve to all your friends who think they don’t like real ale but you will have to teach them how to pour it!. One of my regular brews. Needs 6 or so weeks in the bottle to display its true colours. |

impressive beerkitMade as per instructions.Bottled after 9 days of fermentation (18C).No sugar or DME added in order to avoid a large sediment. (English School of Fermentation Break). Carbonation takes a bit longer (about 15-30days) but you get well carbonated beer. The result was impressive: Well balanced aromatic bitter. An ideal thirst quencher. One of the best kits I've made. |

strong flavouredColour is a light to mid amber and much darker than on the label. Lots of goldings hops (as with all woodfordes) and a big taste. Yeast provided (their own strain) was very slow to ferment - 2 days to commence. It's also very loose in the bottle. Has a good flavour though. This is not a pale ale as such but a very good quality amber ale. Flavour and alcohol content are fairly strong. Good contrast to local kits. |
