Yorkshire Bitter
I regularly brew this, adding Morgan’s master caramalt, and the yeast that comes with the kit. Brew at 22deg one week then keg. Three weeks in the keg and drink.
The only place in NW Australia you can get a decent pint of Yorkshire bitter, my fridge. Converting a lot of Aussies from the lagers they drink. Just need a recipie for boddingtons bitter then i will be happy

Adding this to the rosterBrewed this with 250gm of crystal 60l steeped for 30mins, 1.7kg amber liquid malt, 15gm fuggles hops boiled for 10mins and used the standard brewing yeast that came with the kit. Must say this is a great drop! Tried it after 2weeks of ageing and it was good, now left it for 5 weeks and it's great. Don't think it will last much longer the way it's going down. Will add this to my brew roster when I want to throw down a great brew and don't have the time to do an all grain. |

So far, so goodThis is the first time I have made Muntons Yorkshire Bitter and I have to say, its spot on. Its only been in the barrel for a little over 3 weeks but it is as close to a Yorkshire bitter that i have managed to brew and living in Yorkshire I have had my fair shareof Yorkshire bitter! I made it with golden syrup rather than sugar and its made it really smooth and given it a lovely flavour. My only problem is trying not to drink it as I would say after a couple of months it'll be supurb . |

Top pint!Brewed with 1 bag of ultra brew, one 12 gram bag of fuggles, one 12 gram bag of goldings and Safale yeast with the aim of making a Kilkenny style. One week primary at around 20 degrees Celsius. Very bitter from the hops after 2 weeks in the bottle. Really started hitting its straps after 4 weeks. It didn’t last much longer after that so I can only imagine how good this brew can get! Beautiful brown colour with a hint red. Creamy head stayed all the way down to the bottom my pint glass, clinging to the sides with every sip. If you like English bitters give this one a shot, you wont be disappointed! |

Yorky bitterUsed 1kg LDME to kit, brewed at 22 C used kit yeast. Bit dissapointed, not a bad taste like a mild, lacks any real flavour or alcohol strength. If i was to do next time would add Goldings hops and some dextrose. |

Excellent.Did this with a 1.8kg tin of Muntons light malt extract, and 15g fuggles. OG 1048, FG 1018 after 7 days (high i would have thought). a week old now and this is a top notch drop of ale. Cant wait to see how this mellows over the next few weeks. best part, the colour! gorgeous brown with red hues. love it. Go Muntons, their kits are the business. |

Yorkshire bitter in AustraliaI love all Muntons products & "Yorky" as us Australians call it is no exception. I've made a yorky using two Yorkshire bitter kits 1.8kg + one 1.5kg of extra pale unhopped liquid brewing malt made upto 32 Litres. Fremented at 20oC. P.s. Australia loves Muntons. |

This is probably my favourite drop, always good, I found it tastes better with a straight 1kg dry light malt rather than the dextrose, corn syrup, malt mixes.

yorshire bitterI made this kit beer with just the 1kg of dextrose, I must say after 5 weeks it a good tasting beer, I'm finding that typical of the muntons CONNOISSEURS RANGE. These beer's can be cracked at 3-4 weeks, where alot of the other kits can't. I'd say with additions this beer will just get better, look forward to putting this one down again and playing with hops and malt. |

WoOOoooOoo!!Awesome kit!! Even though used it with #15 lager enhancer just to give an experiment and also super alpha hops and 300gms of crystal malt grain it gives a redish tone, is smooth, good gas and keeps head with nice small bubbles. Best kit ever for this style of beer just use good ingredients with it |

Muntons Yorkshire BitterI've made this about a dozen times as per the instructions & bottled. A really good pint of ale. Worth the extra few bucks to get an english bitter that tastes like real english bitter. Only problem is stopping yourself from drinking it after a fortnight because if you are patient it tastes even better after a couple of months. |

If you're looking for a smooth, inoffensive bitter, this might be the go. Although you'll have to justify the extra few $ to the domestic authorities. Give her a taste, she just might like it. Lovely colour, bit short on flavour, but getting close to the territory of the real thing. You'll want to mod it to get a better result. Mmm, could probably get just as good an ale modding some local kits. Cheaper too.

Good Winter DrinkingMade with 1kg local HBS malt mix, LDM, Corn Syrup & Dextrose) fermented at 24C for 10 days then bottled. So smooth with hints of toffee and caramel after only 3 weeks, it's easy to see why Muntons have such a good reputation. Recommended for the warmer months. |

the mother of all beers!A superb beer. Used the kit yeast but reduced the volume just a tad (well, to about 12 litres, if memory serves correct!). The only thing I added was some Hallertau hop pellets for flavouring. Not exactly to style, I know, but it worked. Result = a crystal malt charged dark bitter with ridiculously little effort that drinks well after just one month's bottle conditioning. Muntons obviously use quality ingredients to produce a beer like this from a tin of extract. The malt must be first-rate,and the yeast is certainly up to the job as well. Recommended, provided you get a fresh can. Has hints of complexity you rarely get with an extract based beer, yet is honest and unpretentious, as befits a Yorkshire bitter. |

A bit pricey but v. goodMade with yeast supplied, 23l water, 1kg dry malt and 12g Fuggles hops bag (steeped 10 mins then added to fermenter). Fantastic, well balanced, smooth, easy to drink ale. Similar to an Irish Red. Would definitely make again. |
