A nice clear beer making LMEThis LME has been used twice now by me, very pleased. Simply put, I've found that this LME gives me a clear and crisp Pil, made enjoyable when chilled. My wort prep included hop additions at ~190℉, and then fermentation at ~75℉ for 14 days. This gave me a clean beer which was thoroughly enjoyed. However, I feel that it is a little to 'light' and far too hoppy for my liking and so I need to investigate my sugar additions. Makes a great beer! |

Aussie PilsI made this up with 500g light dried malt, 300g Dextrose, 200g crystal grain, 100g choc grain, and 25g black grain. I also added 12g sazz hopping dry in the fermenter for a half-week and used US-05 yeast instead of the kits standard one. This came out well fermented at 18'C, but needed a smoother finish. I suspect an overdose of the black grain which should have been reduced to perhaps 5 or 10g, if used at all. I also made a note to try the recipe again with S-189 yeast. Good kit, faulty recipe. 3 stars. |

Great dropYeah bloody magic.500g LDME,250g Dex,250g CS and teabag of golden saaz finishing hops.Next time I will try LLME instead and perhaps much more of it for a real knockout hopefully. This brew is great and it's got great potential to make better for the tweaker. |

Morgans PilsnerIn my opinion Morgans is one of the best kit brands out there. It was a while ago now that I did this brew, but I distictively remember the smell of fresh and fragrant hops - something rarely seen in kit beers. From memory the end result was just as good. The only reason I gave this 4 and not 5 is because it was a long time ago so I don't know what its like now. |
