Easy drinking beerBrewed this according to kit instructions, except I added 250g of Honey to give some extra flavour complexity. Could do with the addition of a few hops for my taste, but the kit is a great base to play around with. Tasted fairly cidery for the first month or so, but has become progessively tastier with age. A nice refreshing, easy drinking beer for those sunny afternoons, a great one to share with friends. The honey certainly added to the aroma and flavour. Lacks the citrus notes of Corona, but the addition of lime gets it tasting pretty similar. Will brew again, but will add some citra or galaxy hops next time to make the flavour more interesting. |

mexicanGreat beer, I have done at least a twenty of these kits I always add no. 2 enhancer & either 800grm Dex or 2 kg honey or for A twist, On priming bottles use rice syrup, adds a sweet taste. My guests have all enjoyed it even some non beer drinkers |

Cervezblah to Cervezaaaah?First batch, followed kit instructions precisely. Only fair after a week in primary and 2 months in the bottle. Passable served ice-cold with lime. It has that damn cider taste that I dislike. I am optimistic about next batch. (I bought the kit for $8 Cdn, so I could not resist.) I boiled 2 g of fresh, wild East Kent Golding hops (8 min) that I picked locally along with a teaspn or so of lime zest. I then dissolved 500g of pure honey into the hops water and let it cool off. I mixed the wort with some boiling water - per the instructions - then added the hops/honey/H2O, a cup of dextrose and then filled the tub to about 21l (instead of 23). I was afraid the hops would overpower the cerveza's weak grain flavour and thought the honey would round things out, and add some punch along with the dextrose. It smelled great before I pitched the yeast into it and I plan to leave it two weeks in the primary and keep it coolish, below 20 for sure. |

One of my favoritesI have only made this kit once but truely is one of my favorite brews so far. I took the advice of many others and brewed this to 21L rather than 23L as per instructions. I used 500g of brewing sugar (dextrose) and 500g of light dried malt extract. I left the fermentation at 22 C for 3 weeks. I then transfered this to a secondary bucket to get rid of sediment and then I directly bottled the beer adding 2 coopers carbonation drops to each bottle (500 mL bottles). It is very much a summery beer with really nice flavours, great with a slice of lemon or lime. This batch wont last very long as its so tasty im sure I will drink it all quite quickly! |

Follow my tips to get the best from this excellent kitI've made this 5 times now and have been really pleased with the results. I would recommend brewing it a bit shorter, to 21l rather than Cooper's recommendation of 23l as I find this helps concentrate the flavours and prevents it tasting a bit 'thin'. I find best results from using 500g of brewing sugar (dextrose) and 500g of light dried malt extract (aka DME). If using the above quantities then batch prime your beer with 190g more dextrose a few hours before bottling. I've also used Young's beer finings with this kit (2 days prior to bottling) which results in a very clear, bright beer. Leave it at least a month before drinking, chilled with a wedge of lime. Very true to style and easy to brew. |

Arriba México!Coopers Mexican Cerveza 1 x Can of Coopers Cerveza, Coopers BE2 (500g Dex, 250g LDM, 250g maltodextrin), yeast supplied, finings added day 4. Fermentation for 8 days (very hot temp around 23 – 26 deg C) OG – 1039d FG – 1010 ABV% – 3,8% + 0,5% = 4,3% I wasn’t expecting much from this beer as I just followed the kit instructions and expected it to be nothing like a sol or Corona. I opened a test bottle last night it has been in the bottle conditioning for just 2 weeks so should be really green. I put it in the fridge and drank out of a beer glass which I added a half a lime to, I was blown away it was pretty lively off the pour and when it settled down it had those soft bubbles you get from a Mexican beer and it smelt and tasted every bit as a good as a bought beer. Love it, I want to try to leave them alone for another 4 weeks but not sure that’s going to happen. |

2nd try,now it got fantastic!Tried this kit for the 2nd time;first time was ok but it tasted a bit watery. But wanted to give it another try and did some changes in this second batch. Now the beer turned out to be fantastic good.I used the kits ingredients but added 25 gr.citra hops after the 2nd day of fermentation.I left it at room temperatur for 4 days and then moved it for 2 1/2 weeks to a cooler room(16 ' celsius). The first time I brewed it I had a higher fermentation temperature (25 ' celsius)and no extra hops added. This time it got a great consistency and a fantastic fruity taste thanks to the extra hops. |

Sol clone NOT Corona!Made to instructions, using recommended brew enhancer and kit yeast. 2 weeks primary then bottled to glass, sampled after 6 months. Golden straw in colour and extremely clear. Head was quick to disappear with zero aroma as per style, but still bubbled in both beer glass and stubbie. I tried this brew on its own and with lemon and lime wedges and it was a nice, refreshing beer in the Mexican style. It tasted exactly like a Sol. If you are after a Corona you will have to do some work on it. |

Found teh beer for summerGreat beer, followed instruction but used brew sugars. 7 days in primary 7 days in secondary tempreture on the low end approx 18. SG 1043 ferment down to 1008. 4 weeks in the bottle so far. I have done this beer before it is great for having very cold at the end of a hot day the missuses even likes it and the neighbours think it is great. A very cheap lawnmowing beer that will suprise you. |

Best BeerThis is the first time I make a brew. This beer was great. I followed the instructions from the dvd. I did not modify anything and this beer tasted like one of the best mexican beers i have ever tasted and it also gave me a head change right away. I dont know why this brew is rated so low especially since I have tried many different types of beers and this is simply one of the best. It tastes like mexican beer and it it tosses you up what else could you ask for. |

Nice Corono CloneBrewed kit+1KG dextrose, kit yeast,23L and added homemade lime extract at bottling. Very nice Corona clone, light taste and light color with lime flavor already added. The lime flavor has faded over time was much stronger early. Surprised really how good it was only 3 weeks after bottling with the lime flavor. Anyone wanting a quick drinking Corona clone will be pleased. FYI, the lighter colored beer kits darken with age in the can so buy the freshest light colored kits to get the lightest color possible. |

Honey CervezaNot bad for a kit. I added Cooper's BE#2, and 1.5kg of honey. After 10 days in the fermenter and two weeks in the bottle it has a real nice honey flavour infused with a cerveza type of taste. Although this is not in keeping with a traditional Cerveza, it tasted quite nice. |

Great easy drinking beerI've made this one a couple of times now and the taste just keep better and better. I used 1K BE2 + 250g Extra Malt to reach the desired alcohol percentage... also brewed with 5g of Saaz Czech hops for 10mins for that nice aroma. I have to say that it taste better than the Corona and it's cheaper too! |

Bit like Brazilian SkolFollowed the kit instructions to the letter using coopers Brew Enhancer 2. Temp remained around 24C. Tasted after 1 week. Good mouth feel and light tastes. Reminded me of Brazilian Skol. Would be a great summer beer if served nice and cold on a hot day. I would say pretty good drinking after 2 weeks resting in the bottles. |

Easy DrinkingMade in accordance with kit instructions using kit yeast and Coopers brew enhancer 2 product. Cerveza beer as it is in South America has many variations in flavour and style but lets be clear, the commercial equivalent of this product is low hopped, low flavour and as a representative example of that product it truly hits the mark. It would be quite easy too on a hot summers day to consume this product in quantity's not necessarily recommended by health officials. It is a good kit. Cheers |

Dont waste your money/timeI thought i would give it a go because i like corona style beers. I used coopers brew enhancer 2, 20 ltrs of spring water and fermented for 5 days in primary @ 20c and then racked to secondary for a week before bottling. after over a month in the bottle it has a strange musty/earthy flavour and is nothing like corona.(i know its just a tin kit, but it lacks lots for even a tin.) will not do again. |

First brew drinkableThis was my first attempted K&K. Mixed it up with the kit yeast, 1/2 kg of dextrose, 1/2 kg LDME, 1/4 teaspoon of yeast nutrient. Bottled after 9 days at about 22-24 C. 1Wk yeasty smell but nice and clear and light, also tasted a bit yeasty (almost no head). 2Wk slight improvement from before less smell and less yeasty flavour also had some head this time. looking forward to trying in a couple of weeks again. 3/5 i have another kit in the cupboard ready to make up but this time i will use 1kg of dextrose only as it does not need the malt. |

mexicanaThis was my first attempt at a basic no additions K&K. Added 300g LME + 800g dextrose + fermented with kit yeast at 20-22C for 10 days. Bottled and left for 4 weeks. First impressions are it's a little bland, very mild sweetness, low bitterness, body and head ok for a kit. A slight cider after taste which is disappointing, especially since the style is very subtle. I suspect due to yeast and 22C fermentation. Don't think I will get through this quickly if at all. It needs some finishing hops and a decent lager yeast. |

Coopers Mexican CervezaMade to be an easy drinking, refreshing beer...and thats what it was! Kit plus 600g dextrose and 200g each of dried malt extract and maltodextrin. Primed with white sugar, and after 10 days it was showing up quite well. Used kit yeast @ 18-20'C. Rack to secondary and you'll love the clarity. Very light colour and body, still retains a slight head though. All my mates said it was an excellent drop! |

Better than i expectedThis review is posted 2 months after bottling. made with coopers enhancer2. And brewed during a very hot week in melbourne summer. It took the two months to come good, but is now very drinkable. A simple beer, but a good one at that. |

Tried chili beer with this oneNot a huge fan of this style so comments are biased. Didn’t have BE2 so used 500g Spagnols American Gold Dry Light DME + 400g dextrose. Kit suggested sub of only 250g dextrose. OG=1.035 at 22°C, used kit yeast. Day 14 SG=1.009 at 15°C after moving to cooler room. Day 27 FG=1.008 at 20°C so primed with 180g of sugar and bottled. Tried adding pickled jalepenos in 6 bottles and fresh whole chili peppers in another 6. Left rest as- is. Final colour a darker than Corona and beer a bit bland with extremely short-lived white bubbly head. Good carbonation. Peppered beers were fun with slow burn down throat. Not much difference between pickled vs fresh: fresh ones a tad hotter. Add citus wedge and serve super-cold. Verdict? Will do again but not right away. |

OKWhen I purchased this kit it cost $4 so I bought 2. When I made the first attempting to emulate Corona (as in a light summery ale), I was given the advise dextrose would keep it light. and malt would give it to much body, with this in mind I made it with 1 Kg of dextrose. Fermented out at around 25C, for 7 days, the result was a darker than expected ale. Very light flavoured beer no head, but very very drinkable. Kept in stubbies for well over 6 months and flavour stayed consistant. |

DrinkableUsed CBE2 and brewed as per instructions at about 20C, racked to secondary after 5days and left there for a week. Bit light on taste and poor head retention. Wife liked it though. Added a chunk of lime to the glass and this improved the taste dramatically. Have been serving it up with lime ever since and seems to be popular with guests. Will try again with corn syrup and finishing hops. |

Not badThrew away the yeast and used a coopers cultured yeast and a tin of malt fermented at 18C. Kegged to secondary for 2 weeks. Its passable now after 3 weeks in the bottle and expect a pretty good drop in a few more weeks. Would I make it again - probably not. |

Fermented at 22 degrees for 7 days, bottled using carbonation drops. Tried at 8 weeks - crap!.... tried at 5 months- slightly improved but still crap! watery, a bit sweet and no body or taste. Don't think ill be going there again. |
