Easy drinker with a smidgen of lager style sweetnessLovely easy drinking beer ... this light amber Blond is an easy drinker in the new light Ale style but to me is reminds me of a Lager. I always have some of this aging .... great after a months better after 3 ... Last brew made with Kit yeast and 1/2 kilo each of LDM and Dex ... SG 1040 FG 1006 ABV 5.057% ... |

Light Easy DrinkerI didn't mind this one, it's very light in colour but has a little more IBU than my standard can (Coopers Pale Ale), I kept it quite simple with 1kg dried malt, 10 grams of saaz and 10 grams of hallartau boiled for 5 mins. Next time I would up tyhe hops a little more to around 20 grams of each but other then that it's a nice kit to make a sudo lager from (or lager if you have the correct ferment temps). NOTE: I did this with wyeast 1-56 american ale yeast. |

Coopers Canadian BlondeCoopers Canadian Blonde was the 1st brew I tried and was very surprised at how good it tasted. My 1st attempt, I made it with just the standard 1kg of Coopers brew enhancer 1. The 2nd attempt of this I did with 700g dextrose and 500g dry malt extract. Now sure if the 2nd attempt was better due to the different mix, or if because I had then done a few different beers - All in all, its a great tasting beer. |

Wasn't exactly what I was expecting...Bought this kit for 14.99$. Brewed it with 1kg of light DME and 300 grams of high malt glucose. Added 100 grams of Fuggles, Tattenang and Saaz at the 40 min, 20 min and 5 min boil. Once finished boiling, I added the kit. Fermented at 20-21 degrees. after 10 days, I placed beer into a secondary for 7 days. Bottle conditioned with dextrose.. It turned into a nice Canadian Pale Ale. Not the best beer I've made but decent. |

NiceMade this as per instructions (Kit plus BE1) along with a Tea Bag of Amarillo finishing hops. Fermented for 2 or 3 weeks (cant quite remember which) at about 20 degrees. When it came to bottling this was super clear. Took about 3 weeks to get any carbonation and then just got better and better. Drunk the last few bottles last night(lasted about 2 months in bottle) and thought I should provide a good review for this kit. Good value on this one too at about $0.75 NZD per 750ml bottle.... |

Can’t quite put my finger on it?First Cooper kit I have tried and was impressed after my home brew specialist shop “mates” bagged Coopers so much. Made as per instructions (I forget which brew enhancer it recommended), using kit yeast, 2 weeks primary, 2 weeks secondary before bottling. Sampled at 2 weeks, 3 months then 6 months. Beer was extremely clear, golden in colour and well carbonated, but there was just something missing. 12g of Cluster or Pride of Ringwood hops may help? I’m not quite sure but it just needed something extra. 2 and 3 quarters. |

Candian BlondeMade this one as per basic instructions - kit, BE1, kit yeast. Wanted to get a base for future variations. After six weeks or so in the bottle, it's not a bad light beer. Nothing overly amazing or impressive, but still good. Might try again with some very light crystal and some Cascade hops. |

A great all round beerBrewed from the kit using 1 kg brew enhancer 1 + 500 grams of Dry Malt. 5 days in primary at fermenter 23C degrees then straight into the bottle. It's been 7 days in the bottle and just open one up to have a taste. BOY WAS I IMPRESSED. A very clean and crisp taste. The extra 500 grams of dry malt gives it a very smooth feel on the palate and the typical style of Norther Beers provides than nice spicy hop finish that lingers on the palette for ages after the last sip. Beer slightly under carbonated (as would be expected from a 7 day old beer) but most of the basic elements are certainly there in the beer. Looking forward to tasting it at 6 months. If I'm getting this sort of flavour profile so soon I can't wait to see what is still to come. Will surely brew again!!! |

Good tasty BeerI brewed this beer a few weeks ago and brewed with 1kg of coopers brew enhancer 1. It took 2 weeks to ferment and 2 weeks in secondary fermentor then bottled and left for 3 weeks to carbonate. opened bottle after 3 weeks and it is a lovely tasting beer its nicer than coopers mexician creaves. If you are looking for something with a bit more taste than the mexician creaves then this is the stuff. |

nice dropTried 2 kits (first was sensational). First one I used supplied yeast, rehydrated. Within 30 minutes pitching I thought they would stop flights overhead, there was so much volcanic activity. Took 3 days to settle down . Bottled after 9 days , opened 7 days later, nearly perfect. 500gms dextrose, 500gms maltodextrin next one used 500gms dextrose 250gms maltodextrin and 250 gms LDME. rehydrated SAFALE S-04, but not much activity first 4 hours |

Nice beer. I'm new to home brewing, I've made up three kits. This was the first and the best (so far) followed the directions on the packet. Primary for 4 days @ 28c. It's been 8 weeks since I bottled it and it keeps getting better. | |||

Nice Summer BeerNice flavor and aroma with slight bitterness. Definitely at least as good as many mass produced beers if not better. Impressed at how easy it is to a make a good, light summer beer. Only added 100g dextrose(no malt) to keep it light and low % alcohol. Gets favorable comments like "wow, is this really home brew?". Used kit yeast at 18C for three weeks in primary pail, 23L. Took about two months aging to get really nice it was not as smooth or flavorful younger. |

Crystal clear resultsI have made this precisely to the specs on the can + Brew Enhancer 2 and the kit yeast supplied. Have maintained constant temp of 20-22c. After four days probably jumped in a bit early with finings however this did not seem to affect it. Left for three days after this. SG was approx 1006 after 8 days. Final result is crystal clear. Have never seen a beer so clear. Used coopers drops for secondary. After 14 days I was itching to try it. A ripper...Very light and clear and goes down way to fast. |

Honey BlondeCCB kit + Coopers BE1 + 400g Clover Honey. Used kit yeast pitched at 26C and continued at 22C~24C. After 2 weeks in the bottle i was very impressed. Clean on the pallet with very slight honey taste and aroma. Good mouth feel and crisp hop finish. For me this is a good summer beer. Will definitely brew this again. |

A little too much on the sweet sideMade up to 25 liters with 1 kg LDME, 2 cups dextrose, 10g Mt Hood (dry hopped) and Safale US-05 yeast fermented at around 20 °C. Bottled straight out of the primary fermenter. A little too sweet for my liking but seems to be a winner with the ladies. Has a nice fluffy bit of head on it. Better drunk while fresh IMO and I have had other people say this to me aswell. Will probably make this one again because my woman likes it but think I'll add some bittering hops to balance out the sweetness, possibly some Amarillo or Chinook to be consistent with a North American style beer. I may also try fermenting with Saflager S-23 to see if this makes for a better lager than it does an ale. |

Don't use the kit yeast !Such a safe beer. For those complaining about the bad 'homebrew' taste. Give this one one more go. Throw away the kit yeast, use a lager yeast. Keep the temperature down (11-15degC). Ideally use 1kg of light malt and 500gms corn syrup. This will give you an excelent beer with a solid head. |

drinkable, but barelyKit + 1kg of dextrose, 7 primary, 7 secondary, bottled, 20c average temp. I cant quite put my fingure on whats wrong with this beer, but the green apple taste hasnt gone away and its a month and a half bottled. Somewhat wattery, which can be attributed to the use of dextrose. I wouldn't do another. |

Canadian Blonde ( Cold )Brewed with 1Kg Dextrose, Safale yeast for two weeks at 12 Deg C . Bottled and left for two weeks before tasting. A very nice if 'sweet' beer. I'd suggest trying this with maybe 500 grams of Malt Extract rather than sugar. I found after extra maturation things do not improve that much, but I do find it a very safe enjoyable beer. |

Coopers Canadian BlondeWell I tried the Coopers Canadian Blonde with a few additives and came up with a real nice beer. Started with Coopers malt extract pack, added 500gr. light dry malt, also 250gr. dextrose & 250gr.corn syrup. Used coopers yeast supplied and added 20gr of hersbrucker hops four days into fermentation after 20 minute boil. Fermented out at low end of temp. scale 18-20 degrees, not hard with those temps in Tassie, OG 1042 FG 1008. Kegged in fridge for four days then filtered and gassed over three days. Good head retention stuck to the sides of the glass. Didn't last long as everyone got stuck into it, so making a couple of more batches same recipe. All round a very pleasing beer. |

coopers canadian blondeI have twice brewed this kit and both times it came out too sweet to drink.I used 1.5 kilos of BE 2 and safale so4,kept at 20 to 24 degrees for 5 days then bottled with dextrose. The second time i did it i didn't boil the kit, only the BE 2,then rehydrated the coopers yeast, before throwing together at around 25 degrees.Same awful homebrew flavour, will never do it again. |

My 5th BrewI was making this with the warmer weather in mind. Just used the kit and supplied yeast and a Coopers brew enhancer 1. Poor head retention (I find this with most Coopers kits) and sweet/malty aftertaste stop this from being a magnificent beer. Could use some added hops I think. Still OK on a hot day. |

Never againMade this using 1kg coopers brew enhancer #1 + 500grams of honey, used yeast suplied. 1 week in primary then racked to secondary for another week, then bottled, was nice intially but is the only beer i have made that got worse as it matured, perhaps i over did it with fermentables but i will never try it again to find out. |

Great DropI have brewed this twice, once with 750gm white sugar and once with 1kg dextrose. Both times beer came out very pale and crisp on the tongue. Great summer beer! In fact my father in law and I demolished a brew I put in October over Xmas. Am planning on putting down a brew in May with 1kg light malt. |
