Muinich Lager ReviewI make this one all the time. I chuck in a German Lager #62 enhancer and add Muntons Premium Gold yeast and it turns out perfectly every time. A really easy drinking beer, lovely in the Summer! |

first brew evercame with the starter kit, 1kg dextrose filled with tap water to 23litres, right out of tap, get lots of oxygen into the brew so the yeast thrive left in the shed for about 8 days i think, varying from 18-28 celcius, i know, not a good practice airlock wasnt bubbling much... turned out the lid wasnt on tight enough to make an air lock no finings or enhancer, pretty sure i bottled it too soon, 700ml bottles 2 carb drops, beer wasnt that good to start out with, but right now after 8 weeks after bottling its tasting great considering how badly i made this beer, i think its pretty idiot proof. deffinately a great first brew to make |

Good first brewThis was my first beer brew and it turned out great. Bottled in 500ml bottles and used 1 carb drop per bottle. After 3 weeks it is tasting good and definately will get better with age! Good simple basic brew. |

Try thisTry Saflager S-23 yeast with this one. Add a Saaz hop bag and use 1kg of light malt. Deffinately use finnings at the end of fermentation and try and brew at 15degC or less. If your kegging fill to 21 ltr's, otherwise 23. This produces a fantastic beer ! |

Rough around the edgesMade with kit yeast and Brewcraft German Lager Beer Enhancer. Am bit disappointed with this kit. Not a smooth malty lager like any you'll find in Munich. Malty, but rough tasting and lacking body. Have since discovered kits use ale yeast not lager yeast - so this is an ale version of a Munich Lager which explains the flavour. Might be better with light spraymalt instead of the enhancer and S-23 yeast, then again it might not. |

First kitMy first brew. 23 litres tap water, kit yeast, Brew Enhancer No.15. 7 days at 23 degrees. After a month taste pretty good for a basic brew. Next time I would make with saaz hops and saflager yeast. Brother seems to like it, but a bit sweet for my taste. Overall good for an intro to brewing. |

Pretty GoodThis is the first kit I have done. It came with a Brewcraft Kit from my local Home brew. Used Boiled Tap water, 1kg Dextrose and kit yeast. Kept fermenter in a waterbath with frozen coke bottles around it to keep temp around 15 degrees. Tried the first one at 2 weeks, had a good taste but very green. Should get better with age. 4 stars. |

Pretty FantasticUsed 50/50 of light dried malt spray, and dextrose to equal 1kg, brewed to 23 litres, made mistake by stiring so had to leave for and extra 4 days but still a bit cloudy in the bottles. Brewed at temperature of around 22-24 degrees Celcius. After 1 week taste was light and weak, but after a month the hops proved to be there and now is a fantastic beer to drink, good head!! |

Malty MunichI made this for my first ever brew so just used 1kg glucose, kit yeast and topped up to 23L. I was surprised with a great head and perfect carbonation. It smelled and tasted quite malty. |
