not too shabbywas given a can of Wander draught and looked upon it dubiously yet free is free and so i used it to baptise my new keg setup brewed it with coopers no.1 and 400g of redgum honey with a sg of 1046 and a final gravity of 1012 it went straight into the keg and was drinking it 72 hours later. not too shabby perhaps a little low in bitterness for my tastes yet altogether drinkable 1/2 a keg gone in a week need i say more... |

2cannerDon't toss it; do a toucan. I chucked one in with a Coopers Draught, brewed with one packet Cascade Bohemian yeast 11 days @ ~ 22degC. SG: 1044 to 1012. |

Try it with Coopers BE2Brewed it with Coopers Brew Enhancer 2 (Dex, LDME & Maltodextrin 1kg blend) and Safale S-04 (batch size was 23 litres). Brew temps were at the low end of the Safale (15-17 deg C). Racked after 6 days & then 7 days in secondary. Bulk primed with 130 grams dex (batch size was 18 litres after racking). SG started at 1042 & finished at 1017. I was a bit worried that fermentation hadn't finished & bottle bombs might have been in order, but it was still 1017 after 10 days in the bottle. Taste is not bad at all. It's a nicely carbed light malty ale. I'm not sure I would call this brew value for money, as I spent more on the extras than on the kit, but it turned out ok. Give it a try if you find it on sale. |

Is This Beer?HonestJohn doesn't like being unkind. So I won't recommend this to any customers out there and suggest that if it comes with a Wander Home Brewery in a box you toss it out and go to your local HBS (Home Brew Shop) for some advice instead -save yourself a lot of effort that will only lead to heartache (and flatulence). Only mildly resembles beer. Alcoholic lolly water. I believe they also make Ovaltine, which I prefer to this. |
