One of the best!Yes Please! I've made this twice. First time added dextrose to an OG of 1.045. Turned out great. Second time added 500g dark spray malt and enough dextrose to get to 1.o45. Even better. Overall a great base. I highly recommend it and will continue to experiment with this as a starter. If you like irish stout, it doesn't get much better than this. |

Add Super alpha hops to get the guinness bitter finishI boil 20g of super alpha pellets in muslin (10 mins) and add to the brew along with 1.5kgs dark liquid malt. Nearest thing to the mighty G I've ever had and certainly better than the locally brewed draught version. ABV about 3.5%. |

Commercial QualityThis is not a cheap brew.. but by god, it is prolly the best stout i've ever tasted. Might be a fluke, but this beats all commercial stouts ive tried in taste, just doesnt quite have that cream head you find in guiness. ONLY 5 WEEKS OLD. Kit 1.5kg, Muntons Dark Liquid Malt Extract 1.8kg, 400g LDME, 500g Dex, 40g greenbullet (NZ hops, magical) pellets, 6x 350ml bottle Coopers Stout Yeast. OG 1059 - FG 1019 = 5.8%. Fantastic beer, TRY IT! :D |

Very nice stoutMade this up with: .5lb [220g] 60L crystal .5lb [220g] chocolate malt .5lb [220g] Carapils .25lb [110g] roasted barley 2lbs [904g] Muntons light DME 500g Coopers brewing sugar 1 Muntons Irish Stout kit Nottingham dry yeast Turned out great - roasty, toasty, some chocolate, good mouthfeel. No added hops, but the kit had plenty of bitterness. Would definately do again. |

This was my second ever homebrew batch, and I was thoroughly impressed! I used the kit, 1kg Dark Crystal Malt, dark malt spray, wheat plus flavour pack. This was to achieve a Guiness mimmick, and I've found it a great, full beer. It's about 2 months old now and getting better and better | |||

The Dark LordBrewed with 1kg Dark malt Extract, Stout mix from the local HBS and Nottingham yeast. Fermented at 18-20C. A really fine drop, beautifully dark and rich, mocha coloured head, bitter and tremendous. |

Very good stoutThis was my first homebrew kit. I threw away the instructions and boiled the kit with 1 kg of Munton's dark spray malt and 8 liters of water for an hour, then cooled and added to it water up to 18 liters (I think), together with the properly rehydrated yeast. Fermented for a week or two, then bottled with 80g refined sugar (boiled with a tiny bit of water). It was good after two weeks, fantastic after two months. Sadly, that was my last bottle. :-( So far the best beer I've made, and better than most macro-brew commercial beer. |

The Black DeathI brewed this pretty much as per the directions for temperature and ingredients. The only difference was that my OG was about 1.065. This reduced the batch size significantly but the results were fantastic. Creamy, smooth, complex flavours and decent head. Next time I'm going to add some dme instead of the dextrose and maybe some fuggles, but it's already excellent as is. |
