Excellent lagerMade this with Muntons hopped DME and kit yeast. It was very bitter after about 10 days in bottle, but turned out to be an amazing lager after more time in bottle. I'm dying to make this one again, probably will try with a yeast like us-05 this time, but it's unfortunately out of stock at the place I buy. |

With Muntons you can't go wrongThis Lager really can fool you into thinking you've made a trip to Bavaria. Like all Munton Connoisseur kits this is another hit with friends. No off tastes or sulphur nose. This matures fast so get ready for a treat 2 weeks after conditioning. Served ice cold you get a lacey white head all the way to the bottom of the glass. You may not get the same results but you should. I've got to be the low-tech prince of brewing but make superb brew every time. Bleach to sanitize (they cringe) table sugar instead of dextrose (they flinch) and being in Florida my fermenting temp in summer is a constant 80F (26.6C). Have made hundreds of various kits ... Muntons seems best. Cheers. |
